Colaiste Dun An Ri Secure Their First Trophy

A massive congratulations to Colaiste Dun An Ri students Lucy Fitzsimons and Alannah McDaniel who won 3rd prize with their Student Enterprise Project in the County Enterprise Finals. 🏆 The final took place on Wednesday March 8th in the Slieve Russell Hotel.  The girls sold ‘Box Frames’ containing creative images and quotes made from recycled and natural materials such as buttons, pebbles and twigs. 🍃 Lucy was the creative member of the group and responsible for the design and production of the frames.  Alannah was in charge of marketing and finance, helping to create the promotional material and keep track of sales.  The girls sold their product through a market day in school, they also had samples of work on the school stand at the Kingscourt Christmas Craft Fair and on display in a Café in the town.  At the county final the girls were commended for the quality of their product for a junior category entry. 🌟 As the girls are only in First Year of secondary school and this was their first time to enter the county competition they did extremely well to come away with a trophy.  The girls have secured Colaiste Dun An Ri’s very first trophy. 🏆 A huge well done to the students and teachers involved.  Also a huge thank you to Miss. Grainne Farrelly (Teacher of Business Studies & French) for providing us with the information on this.
