David Crosby Charity Golf Classic Results and List Of Sponsors

On May 12th a large number of people joined David Crosby for a Charity Golf Classic in Mannan Castle, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.  A presentation took place later that night.  This event was a great success and all proceeds benefited the Lung Transplant Unit in the Mater Hospital Dublin. ⛳ David would like to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sponsored, supported and participated in the event and to everyone who donated spot prizes for the presentation night. Also David would like to thank all who contributed and helped on the day.

Join David Crosby For A Charity Family Fun Run This June Bank Holiday Monday

Lets join David Crosby for a 6k Family Fun Run this June Bank Holiday Monday.  This event (sponsored by Saint Gobain Construction Products Ltd) is in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and Barnardos.  The walk/run will commence from Kingscourt Community Hall @ 11.00am and all participants must register on the day by 10.45am.  This event is suitable for all levels of fitness and there will be refreshments and entertainment for all to enjoy!  Get some exercise, meet some great people, have fun and support some very worthy causes.  Hope to see you there!

Fundraising Quiz Night For Kingscourt Stars Hosting 2 Teams For Féile Peile na nÓg

John West Féile Peile na nÓg takes place on 23rd-25th June. Kingscourt Stars Gaa girls will host Derrynoose of Armagh (near Culloville) and the boys will host St. Nicholas GAA from Dunlavin/Dunard in Wicklow. A fundraising table quiz will take place in Murtagh’s Bar & Lounge on Friday June 9th at 9.30pm. €20 for a table of 4. All support is greatly appreciated.

St. Mary’s Brass & Reed Band, Kingscourt Presents “A Night At The Movies” In Cabra Castle

St. Mary’s Brass & Reed Band, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, Ireland. are delighted to present “A Night At The Movies” in Cabra Castle on June 11th at 7:30pm.  This is a night dedicated to some of the most memorable and celebrated pieces of film music, including- James Bond, Gladiator, Lord of The Rings and many more!  The players and committee of St. Mary’s Brass & Reed Band, Kingscourt, Co. Castletown Accordion Orchestra’s Mid Summer Classical Concert

Castletown Accordion Orchestra’s second annual Mid Summer Classical Concert is being held once again in the Ramor Theatre, Virginia. 🎶 This year they will be joined by the Youth Orchestra, together with special guests, The Diamond Quartet (accordion quartet), Holly Chilton (Oboe), Ciaran Hayes (Bassoon), Niya Morrissey (piano) and Zoe Stedje (cello). A Fantastic Evening At Kingscourt Stars GAA Official Opening & Blessing

Proud committee and club members and members from the community turned up in large numbers last Wednesday evening for the official opening of the new dressing rooms, stand mural painted by Colin Wood and the new crush barriers. The ceremonies started at sundown and ended by moonlight on what was a glorious evening.  Uachtarán C.L.G. Aogán Ó Fearghail was in attendance to unveil the plaque, and Fr Gerry MacCormack PP blessed the new additions.  Cavan author and Kingscourt supporter, Shane Connaughton was one of the guests of honour, and presented Aogán with a copy of his new book.  Aogán was also presented with a beautiful painting by Colin Wood of Lough an Lae mountain on behalf of Kingscourt Stars.  Kingscourt Stars would like to thank Chairman Phil Smith and the subcommittee for organising such a successful evening, to Brendan Murtagh representing sponsors Kingspan, to Jim McGovern who was M.C., and to all who helped on the night!  Also a huge thanks to Aine Tuffy Gogarty for the photos provided.

Congratulations and the very best of luck to Brona Shields on her new business venture ‘B.Nailed’.  B.Nailed will open on Main Street, Kingscourt (beside Little Buds Florist) on Wednesday 31st May.  B.Nailed will specialise in acrylic nails, gel polish and brow waxing.  Services available will include acrylic nails application, removal, refills and overlay, file and paint, gelpolish application and removal, nailart, nail repair, eyebrow wax, eyebrow tint and eyelash tint.  As an opening special, there will be 10% off nail services for the first week – limited appointments available.
