Fair of Muff 2017 – Saturday August 12th

The ancient Fair of Muff was one of the celebrations connected with the Lough an Leagh Festival of Lunasa (August). It was an ancient Celtic Fair, which has its origins in the remote past. A famous horse-fair was held there on the 12th of August and has continued annually since.  The Fair of Muff is not just a horse fair but a fun day out with something for everybody. Enjoy browsing the stalls and bargaining with the visiting traders, maybe have a go in the skittles competition or get those dancing shoes on as there will be music and dancing in the bar close by! That night the annual dance will take place in The Royal Breffni, Tierworker where the ‘Queen Of The Fair’ will be crowned. A fun-filled day and a great night out! We hope to see you there!
