About Us

market square corel draw

The Market Square Website has been established with the aim of improving the connections between people, businesses and community groups in Kingscourt and its surrounding areas by creating a vibrant online community.

It is an independently managed website which operates on a social enterprise basis.

It has been designed based on the input of local people and will be updated regularly to reflect the suggestions and requests from the community and businesses.

The purpose of this website  is to communicate the following;

– Local News, Community Group Events, Business Listings and Business Promotions/Deals

The Market Square

Why the name “the Market Square”?

The Market Square was the place in the town where people met up weekly to buy and sell to each other and find out the latest news of the day.

Why the Logo?

Many people of the area will remember the clock tower that once connected two sides of the Market Square in Kingscourt.

The logo of this website uses an artists impression of how the Market Square we know today might look if the clock tower was reinstated.

So like the logo the aim of this website is to recognise the benefits a meeting place from the past and give it an update with a 21st century twist.

What we do?

We are a local business promotion service and we aim to provide small businesses with an online presence.

Our aim for  businesses is to promote them in the following way

1 An advertising banner on each paged viewed on the market square (365 days a year)

2.Web promotion page (also searchable through Google 365 days a year)

3.You can publish unlimited deals and promotions such as events, (there is a specific person provided for you to update details each week)

We also provide a Web Design Service and Graphic Design Service.

Who we are?

The website is run by Colm Kieran and Garrett Gunne should you wish to get in touch with us, you can do so via the contact form below.
